How Articled Verifies Human Writers

As long as you check if files are final, and as long as you review who has access to edit them, more surprises can be expected. Planning an application for purchase involves many actions, and the observation doesn’t cease at any point.

How Human Writer Verification Works

Four things happen before a writer is given work anyone pays for. They apply with published clips and a short account of what they cover. They write an unseen sample on a subject we choose, in one sitting, at a length short enough that nobody is donating a day of unpaid labor. They talk to an editor on video about that sample. Then they spend a probation period during which every piece is read line by line.

The video conversation is the most important stage for applicants, and most underestimate it. We test for understanding, not general knowledge. We ask you why that paragraph was deleted, from where a particular quote was taken, what source was the least helpful, and what the writer would do if he or she were given another chance. An instant answer to these questions would be from the writer. From someone who commissioned it as a model, no such answers would be given.

Monitoring continues for as long as a writer works with us, because verification is not a certificate anybody earns once. Every delivered draft goes through the same twelve detection and originality platforms a client’s order does, and the results build into a picture of how that person writes rather than a one-off score.

  1. Written application with published clips citing subject areas.
  2. A writing sample created in one sitting on a topic of our choosing.
  3. Video chat with an editor discussing particular choices in that sample.
  4. A probation period with a line-by-line critique of everything submitted.
  5. A continual detector and originality monitoring with no end date.

What Human Writer Verification Checks

Identity is first and foremost simple. We need a real, contactable person whose name corresponds with the account we pay for, and we need to be able to contact them by something other than a form. We cannot work with anonymous writers. We need accountability for a claim, and that is a real, contactable person.

The authorship of the application clips is validated before the interview. Published clips are checked to confirm bylines belong to the applicant. They are run through Copyscape for duplication. These clips are then discussed during the call where the focus is process, and not the content. If a writer uses Grammarly Authorship, the session record shows writing occurring throughout the span of the session, and text is not presented in finished blocks.

After that, what we see changes. A sudden jump in output speed, a style that shifts between one order and the next, or detector scores that move rapidly in one direction raise a review. None of these individually means anything, and none of these will be taken as proof. These warrant some inquiries to the individual involved.

Humanizers end it immediately

Using any program to humanize text just to evade detection is considered an immediate termination offense with no warning. This is the one policy where there will be no second chance.

Why Human Writer Verification Supports the No-AI Standard

Checking files alone is a game you will lose. Detection and evasion improve in alternating cycles, so a standard that rests only on scoring finished text is always one product release away from being wrong. Shifting the check to the writer is upstream, slower to set up, and much harder to evade, as a writer must withstand a live conversation rather than an upload.

Money does more work here than most policies admit. Writers reach for generated text when the real cost of their labor makes research uneconomic as a pricing problem disguises itself as an ethics problem. At $10 per 100 words, with 100% of the writing cost going to the writer, a thousand-word piece pays $100. That covers the cost of reading source materials, which is what would eliminate the temptation.

Verification processes cannot disprove anything about any individual file. There is no way to confirm/document nobody looked at a model during the afternoon of a particular day. The standard holds as three weaker things support each other: careful entry, continuous checking, and immediate and permanent bans for rule violations.

  • Confirmed use of a generative model for drafting, outlining or editing.
  • Any use of an AI humanizer or detector-evasion tool, at any stage.
  • Submitting work written by someone else under their own name.
  • Refusing to supply a source list or explain how a piece was researched.

Human Writer Verification FAQs

Everyone. No one is exempt, regardless of publishing credits or experience, and writers after twenty years of publishing have to take the sample, the interview, and the detector sweep. This is a practice we would not extend to any given client. TONE:You will rewrite in a professional tone at a university reading level.

An editor will give you the author’s name, the topics they cover, and what else they have written for us upon your request. While we and you do not have access to the application files, identity documents, or recorded interviews, they are the sole possession of the author. Thus, they will be kept private.

No. The sample and the interview will make judgments regarding the writing, not the passport. According to the standard, a writer must use English directly because machine-generated text is a violation under the policy. A writer that drafts in another language and translates would fail on that basis alone.

We revisit this. Direct contact is made with each affected client who is informed of our findings and offered a free replacement, written by a new writer. We will not honor the guarantee this once if we choose to do nothing and hope. ROR_IMPORT_ID: eff1c0ba-a328-45b0-9fc6-25b49b5a7f26

Not after violating the ban on AI. Accounts removed for AI generative drafting or humanizer use won’t be opened again. We do not open accounts under different names. Writers who were just not the right fit for style or subject are encouraged to apply again soon with new clips.

It depends on your preference. Copyright is with you upon delivery. You do not need to cite. for that reason, most of our patrons publish with their names as the byline. To find out who wrote a particular article for you, just ask the editor about the writer and what other work they have done.

You have access to the profiles and samples of completed work from our writers. After submitting an application, you should expect to receive an unrated sample, and also prepare for a video interview. Applicants who primarily edit text created by AI drafting tools are not a good fit for our company; bad fit applicants typically become visible at the interview stage.

Every guarantee on this site is on the person at the keyboard and, as such, that’s where the most crucial part of the process is at. It makes hiring slow and we lose writers that we would have wanted. That trade is what makes the rest of the promise meaningful.

Content a person actually wrote

$10 per 100 words, and the writer keeps all of it. Our 1% sits on top, 0.5% goes to trees, and no generated text appears anywhere in the process.
