Thoughtful LinkedIn Articles, Written by Humans

A LinkedIn article is read by a different audience compared to a blog post published on your own site. Almost nobody finds your article by search. Generally, articles are read by people who already follow you on LinkedIn, and something in their feed encouraged them to tap, which changes what the piece has to do on the page.

Therefore, an article can assume a lot of context. It can skip the basic definitions and go straight to the disagreement. What it cannot do is read like a page written for strangers and search engines, which is how most articles posted there are still written.

What Makes No-AI LinkedIn Articles Feel Natural?

An article published on LinkedIn feels natural when it reads like the long version of a point you have made out loud before. It takes a position, names the people or the ideas it disagrees with, and skips explaining what an audience in your field already knows. Written for strangers instead, it reads as filler with a byline.

  • Written for readers who are already familiar with your field.
  • A position stated early, not withheld for the end.
  • No definitions section and no closing summary.

Where AI falls down on LinkedIn articles

Articles generated on LinkedIn hope to pass as blogs written in appropriate outfits, but fail. They start by defining a term that is already familiar to their audience, and continue through five bulleted points of consensus, and end with a summary. Readers who are already in that field quickly skim through the definition.

Hooks, Ideas and Human Writing for No-AI LinkedIn Articles

The idea usually exists already as a talk you have given, an internal memo, or the argument you keep making in meetings. The writer will take that argument, check what has been published on the topic recently so you are not restating a well-known piece, and build the article around the part that is yours.

How a LinkedIn article gets written here

  1. Collect the source material: memos, decks, transcripts, whatever exists.
  2. Check recent published work on the topic so you are not repeating it.
  3. Agree the argument and the running order before drafting begins.
  4. Draft, edit cold a day later, then run the detector checks.

Using No-AI LinkedIn Articles to Build a Recognisable Voice

Two or three articles a year establish your credibility more than weekly posts, because an article lets you be wrong at length and still have your audience. Thousands of people have made a decision about you that no feed post can formulate after working through your 4,000 word article.

  • A finished article with headings, ready to paste.
  • A feed post written to introduce it, sized for the fold.
  • Sources listed with links where claims need support.
  • Any unverifiable claim flagged rather than smoothed over.
  • The full detector panel run on the article, then signed over.

What people commission LinkedIn articles for

  • Setting out a position before a conference talk.
  • Explaining a pivot to customers and staff.
  • Building a case study without naming the client.
  • Answering an industry argument at proper length.

What LinkedIn articles cost

One rate, whatever the format: $10 per 100 words. You are paying for the writer’s time and judgement, so the price scales with the words rather than with a package tier.

If your argument can hold up to being separated into eight distinct statements, feel free to post it. If you would like someone to follow one idea for approximately ten minutes, write your article. More often than not, people want a post when they actually want an article written. If you want to order an article, the writer will let you know before you pay.

Captions that don’t read like ads

Thirty captions. About eight of them are a single sentence and those are the ones that actually performed. Whoever wrote these understands that the photo is actually doing the work. No hashtags were used. Half of their one percent fee goes to planting trees, which our customers actually cared about more than we expected.

Tone was off, second pass fixed it

The first set was warmer and used a lot of exclamation marks, more like our tone. I sent a few examples of our tone and the revisions matched, which should have been included in the brief. Well done for turning it around in two included rounds.

Thirty captions, maybe twenty i’d use

This makes sense at the current price based on batch pricing. However, the generally low hit rate means that about twenty of these are very good and the rest trend toward serviceable filler. Very good steam balls are, and always have been, appreciated, and the second steeping one was one of the best examples, receiving more comments than anything we have posted.
