Restaurant copy fails in both directions. Too flat and it reads like a supplier list; too rich and it promises a meal the kitchen is not cooking. The correct voice is in between, and it changes with every room.
A neighborhood trattoria and a tasting-menu dining room each require a different level of specificity. Getting that balance correct is the majority of the work.
What Good No-AI Restaurant Descriptions Should Deliver
It needs to be easy to decide whether or not to book. Everything should be clearly labeled around the menu with type of cuisine, price, service style, and dietary options. Dining guests leave poor reviews if they expected something else, even if the food is well cooked.
Where AI falls down on restaurant descriptions
AI-generated food writing has trouble with basic culinary vocabulary. It will equate confit with braise and misidentify sauce origins. It will praise dishes left on the pass since March.
How Articled Produces No-AI Restaurant Descriptions
The writer is not relying on the old season menu, but instead asks the kitchen directly about anything they’re unsure of. They ask about sauces, if the house rolls all pastas in house, and what the menu items that have a high rotation are. Wrestling techniques get named correctly because the chefs read their own copy first and notice mistakes immediately.
How a restaurant description gets written here
Read the current menu, the wine list and any tasting notes the kitchen supplies
Review and Revisions for No-AI Restaurant Descriptions
Two rounds and fourteen days to use them. Most changes for restaurant work come from the kitchen rather than marketing. A dish gets removed, a technique is explained poorly, or a supplier who wants to be known. Just send them a marked-up menu and the writer will clear those on one pass.
What people commission restaurant descriptions for

What restaurant descriptions cost
One rate, whatever the format: $10 per 100 words. You are paying for the writer’s time and judgement, so the price scales with the words rather than with a package tier.

Yes. Most kitchens place the venue and section copy orders just once, and follow those orders with short runs of 100-word description orders for dishes each season.
Additional notes written by the chef along with the menu are sent and the seasonal descriptions return in approximately three days.
Only what you confirm. Most markets have some legal definition of terms such as organic, wild-caught, free-range, and allergen wording is more about safety than style, so it’s up to you to write that properly so it can be reviewed by your compliance before anything is published.

One guide had outdated opening hours
Four city guides, three of them perfect. The fourth said a museum had updated its winter hours last year. This was fixed within a day after I reported it. The others were unchecked, but they went ahead and double checked them. I do recommend this guide, but check the time sensitive items for yourself.

First version could’ve been any guesthouse
It was a good draft, but unfortunately, we weren’t able to take credit. We did, however, send back four photos and explained the pier to them all. The second draft also included information about the pier, room three’s low ceilings, and our no breakfast before eight policy. This one is officially on the site.

Trade press ran it almost as is
Two out of four outlets put your article out exactly like it was in our lead paragraph. Every other lead-in has either ignored or rewritten our releases. What’s notable here is that our lead-in this time was our measurement change, while in the past it was company achievement.
