Pricing & Ordering

No-AI Website Content Pricing

A site purchase is not a single purchase. It is made up of dozens of purchases. Some of those purchases might only be 200 words. This page breaks down the cost of a site to the page. It even admits when charging based on words is not aligned with the work.

Order content How it works

How No-AI Website Content Pricing Works

A home page takes five pages and costs $60 to write with an extra 60-cent charge for a total of $60.60. An about page is 500 words, a services page is 800 words, a contact page is another 200 words, and the final FAQ is 700 words, which makes 2,800 words. An additional 2,800 words is $280 of writing. The site also incurs a 2.80 fee for a total cost of $282.80. The writers keep the entire writing cost of $280 and 1.40 cents are donated to growing trees.

Two rules define small orders. The first is a minimum of 100 words, and orders are consumed in 50 word parts. This is where website copy feels the floor, as a header can be formatted at 60 words and still costs 100. The most common way to waste money in this format is to purchase the headline separately from the page it sits on.

Admitting the elephant in the room: The hero takes the longest to write, and the flat per-word rate does not align. We choose to keep the flat rate to avoid dealing with a tiered system that is nearly impossible for a client to approve. The most practical solution is for our client to commission a page and let that ‘hard sixty word’ hero be carried by the surrounding ‘easy five hundred’ words.

  • Homepage, 600 words: $60 of writing, a 60-cent fee, $60.60.
  • About page, 500 words: $50.50.
  • Services page, 800 words: $80.80.
  • Contact page, 200 words: $20.20.
  • FAQ page, 700 words: $70.70.
  • Whole site: 2,800 words, $280 of writing, $282.80 paid.

The 100-word floor

Orders start at 100 words and increase by 50 words each order, which means ordering a 60-word hero will still cost $10.10. If you want to save money and time, you should go ahead and purchase the page in its entirety. Both the headline and body should be written by the same person within the same timeframe.

What Is Included in No-AI Website Content Pricing

Copy is written around the one thing each page must achieve. Writing becomes harder when you must design headings, subheadings, label buttons, and write linked text. The title tag and meta description are provided for each page in order. You are provided with plain text for each that can be quickly pasted. You will not be given design files.

Before delivery, each page is checked against twelve detection and originality platforms. Reports are included with the files. There are short page caveats. A contact page that is approximately 200 words has very little text that confident scoring machines can detect, therefore, for short orders, the report covers the batch rather than each page within the batch.

Two revisions are available for a total of fourteen days. Since marketing copy usually requires very little revision for tone and very little revision for a committee, it is likely that four people will need to approve the homepage. In that case, have all four people give their input in the same round instead of wasting two rounds on the first two opinions. Upon delivery, copyright will grant to you.

  • Copy shaped around the single action the page is meant to produce.
  • Headings, subheadings and button text drafted as part of the page.
  • A title tag and meta description for every page in the order.
  • Twelve detector reports and a Copyscape check, sent with the files.
  • Two revision rounds per order, usable for fourteen days.
  • Full copyright on delivery, with nothing to attribute back to us.

Not covered by the rate

Design, wireframes, CMS entry, brand voice guidelines (as a separate file), and legal review of the claims. We will provide the text and words ready to be input into the page to whoever constructs the page.

Choosing the Right No-AI Website Content Pricing Option

Consider length based on the questions a visitor arrives with, and the number of answers a homepage provides. Answer four of the visitor’s questions honestly and once each to create a homepage between 400 and 800 words. A service page requires a homepage with more answers, since the visitor is closer to a purchase and requires more details. A product page is the exception to the rule, since the page requires less answers than expected, since product photography helps convey the majority of details to the visitor.

Longer is rarely better on a webpage. A 2,000 word webpage is likely presenting three different ideas in one. The editing solution isn’t going to work. The site owner would likely need to purchase three new webpages. Each additional webpage would cater to only one idea. Words would cost the client the same, web pages would be easier to read, and corresponding URLs would have specific things search engines could index.

Order your pages with money first. The 404 page and cookie banner can wait a month. There is no penalty for completing these tasks later because the rate will not change with time and volume. For a site with fifteen pages or more, filling out the custom quote form allows you to receive a word plan for each page before you make any sort of commitment.

  • Homepage: 400 to 800 words, $40.40 to $80.80.
  • About page: 400 to 700 words, $40.40 to $70.70.
  • Service or solution page: 600 to 1,000 words, $60.60 to $101.
  • Product page: 250 to 500 words, $25.25 to $50.50.
  • City or location page: 500 to 800 words, $50.50 to $80.80.
  • Microcopy set for forms and buttons: 100 to 300 words, $10.10 to $30.30.

No-AI Website Content Pricing FAQs

Each order allows for two rounds, which are open for two weeks. With a larger order, they will review each page. You should be aware of this before sending notes on the homepage only. It costs the same to create a different page that’s positioned differently or targeted at a different audience as it does to create new words.

Yes, at the same rate. This is the smart strategy for a full site build. The valuable part of a quote is not the price, it is the word plan. A person examines your sitemap and informs you of the word count for each section, be it 300 words or 900 words, and the total for each page.

You can, as long as it is at least 100 words. A 120-word introduction to a pricing table is a valid order at $12.12. More value is offered to you by ordering the surrounding page in the same brief. This then allows the writer to match that section to the copy located next to it.

Bill on a per word basis rather than a per replacement word basis. Summarize the live URL issue. A replacement for the original is often shorter, making the replacement cost less than expected.

The author will want to know what benefits them. If someone has said it in the context of a supporting figure or stating it as a customer, the claim will be added with the attribution. If there is no support, it will not be added. Generally that rule benefits you more than it will benefit us, particularly with regulated pages.

We can include that in a custom quote. The drifting voice across a website is a legitimate concern and something we’d prefer to bring to your attention, rather than say a style sheet will take care of it. Even though one writer cannot allocate all pages, batch ordering is still better than doing it in segments over several weeks.

Almost always, copy for a website is a case of using fewer words. Each word costs ten cents, so it’s never been easier to follow this advice. Buys the whole page, not just a fragment of it, and spend the rest of the money to correct the page you’ve been avoiding.
