Articled vs ChatGPT

ChatGPT will outline, condense and rewrite faster than any person alive. What it cannot do is stand behind the finished page. Here is where each one earns its keep, without the sales pitch.

Articled vs ChatGPT: What Is the Difference?

ChatGPT is a versatile high-quality, low-cost assistant brought to you by OpenAI. It can quickly generate one-minute solutions to the following tasks: convert messy notes into a working outline, compress a forty page PDF into a single page, or generate twenty headline options. It even does this for less than the cost of a regular lunch. For internal drafts, the memo nobody publishes, and the draft you argue with, this tool is a real shift. We are much more than satisfied with the results, and would rather recommend this than hold our tongues.

Articled is a service, not a piece of software. You send a brief and within three days, for roughly $10/100 words, a person researches and writes the piece. Our fee is only 1% of the price, which means 100% of the writing price goes to the writer and half of that price funds tree planting. There’s no signup to do, no seat to buy and no subscription that runs in the background.

It’s not really about quality between the two. Someone with the patience to work prompts into ChatGPT can get a clean paragraph with it, and pretending otherwise would be insulting. The gap is what you can say about the page after. We can name the writer, show you what they read, and attach reports from twelve platforms to the delivery email. A chat transcript comes with no proof of writing.

  • Translating your initial notes into a structured outline in seconds.
  • Condensing lengthy documents that you have read and are able to sanity-check.
  • Producing twenty possible subject lines to easily eliminate nineteen of them.
  • Clarifying a new concept for you to be able to provide a writer with a brief.
  • Creating a draft of internal communication that will never leave your team.

Articled vs ChatGPT: How the Writing Process Compares

For ChatGPT the cycle is to prompt, read, and re-prompt. Most of the work falls to the user. You’ll need to determine whether the third paragraph is valid, remove the sentence that is confident about a number that was not verified, and rewrite the conclusion because models will end a response with a summary. Teams who obtain the best outcomes consider the output to be a first draft and allocate real editing time against it.

Our process begins with your brief and a reader interpreting it correctly. The writer then finds sources and drafts. The draft is read by an editor cold for what you requested. After that it is sent for checking to Originality.ai, GPTZero, Turnitin, Copyleaks, Winston AI and the other tools, and the reports are attached to the email which contains your file.

This process can take up to three days, and three days is significantly slower than three minutes. That is the model’s real cost. Research happens, at best, at your reading speed. Following the delivery of the report, there will be an opportunity for two rounds of revisions, which are valid for a period of two weeks. This timeframe tends to be when the most applicable feedback is provided, after a more senior member of the staff has had a chance to review the report.

What the detector reports do and do not prove

A clean report is not proof but is evidence. Detectors go off in both ways, which is why we have twelve of them and keep the author’s sources and drafts. If you want, we can show you the whole trail.

Articled vs ChatGPT: Which Is Right for Your Use Case?

Write ChatGPT prompts as if the reader is you or a colleague. Meeting notes, a rough outline, a translation to be double-checked. Use it when volume wins out over voice; no one will notice if you give an internal product five hundred tags, but it would waste company money to outsourcing the task at ten cents a word.

Allow us to do the writing when your name is on the piece and someone will critically evaluate you based on that writing. First draft essays. Competitive guides that are nearly identical and number in the teens. The case study that the candidate reads in the final week before signing. Explaining a policy somebody might cite back to you. These are the writing instances where one is respected for being accurate and the other is respected for being plausible.

We don’t pretend to be the cheapest option. A 1,000-word article will cost you $100 of writing and our $1 fee, and you have to wait up to three days for it. So if your plan relies heavily on the need to publish forty articles a week, then we likely aren’t the solution for the majority of that plan. The realistic solution is investing in a tool and working with a good editor.

  • No one selling content can truthfully provide a ranking guarantee.
  • That AI detectors are reliable in every case, in either direction.
  • That human writing always beats a carefully edited machine draft.
  • Faster delivery than a tool that answers in seconds.
  • A lower price per word than any writing subscription on the market.

Articled vs ChatGPT FAQs

Exclusively Articled. We painstakingly research and write every draft ourselves. We have a policy that bans the use of AI at all stages of the outlining, drafting, and editing processes. Turning ChatGPT loose on something is a writing prompt that, by definition, produces output, and both these things need to be emphasized.

Let’s compare four things: who’s accountable when a fact is false, what evidence of authorship you receive, the price including the cost of revisions, and how quickly you need it. Speed favors the tool without argument. The other three are the reasons why people commission writing in the first place.

A resounding no. The use of AI in any of the writing process (drafting, outlining, researching, editing, translating, and paraphrasing) is grounds for an immediate termination of the engagement. The rule is blunt because a partial exception cannot be verified, and a promise nobody can check is worth nothing.

A lot of clients email us briefs, and that’s what we’re asking you to do as well. We will look for structure and purpose. From sources, we will write everything. What we won’t do is take the extra time to clean up AI writing that we will describe as human-written, since real writing with sentences would still be lacking.

It is common to receive false positives for plagiarism on plain text, such as documentation and legal summaries. Please let us know and we will send the writer their source documents, all drafts (including timestamps), and our full report at no charge to you. We will also rewrite the flagged text until it reads clearly.

That is correct. You have complete ownership of the document with no credit owing to us. There is no restriction on how you publish it, under whatever name you choose. We do not sell your content to third parties, and we do not use it in another client’s projects, and we do not include it in our collections unless we have obtained your permission in writing.

If you are unsure about ordering, our 100 word minimum order is ideal for testing the waters. This would cost approximately $10.00 for the custom writing and ten cents for the processing. There is no account set up fee. Just paste the brief and compare results.

Content a person actually wrote

$10 per 100 words, and the writer keeps all of it. Our 1% sits on top, 0.5% goes to trees, and no generated text appears anywhere in the process.
