Human-Only Award Applications for Brands and Teams

Awards are scored, not admired. Judges work through a rubric with marks against each section, and an entry that tells a lovely story while missing section three loses to a duller entry that answered everything asked of it.

We write to the rubric first and make it readable second. The evidence goes where the marks are, at the length the entry pack permits.

A Human-First Approach to No-AI Award Applications

Judges read 30 entries at a time for a few hours each evening (sometimes more) and superlatives get burned out after a couple sessions. What sticks after a reading is a bit more forensic: the number before, the number after, the date, and the named client who said it was okay to be quoted. Parsing which of your entries is actually a unique result requires someone who has read the other entries in the same category.

  • One section per judging criterion, in the order they score.
  • Results given with dates, baselines and a source.
  • Superlatives cut in favor of numbers a judge can check.

Where AI falls down on award applications

Answers generated from a prompt lack substance and credibility, appearing confident in the process. They include phrases like ‘industry leading results’ and ‘transformative impact’, which are phrases a judging panel will discredit. Scores are associated with the number you can evidence, not the adjective in front of it.

How We Plan and Write No-AI Award Applications

The writer will read the entry packs and the previous winner’s lists before they read your material. Previous winners show what that particular set of judges reward and is often not what the criteria imply. We will then review the proof that you can provide before the deadline.

How an award application gets written here

  1. Send the entry pack, category, word limits and the deadline.
  2. The writer reviews recent winners in that category for what scores.
  3. An evidence audit establishes what you can prove, and by when.
  4. Section drafting to the word limits, then a final read against the rubric

Using No-AI Award Applications for Your Business

Agencies see the opportunity to win projects rather than awards. They use award entry forms to prepare award pitch documents. Internal company teams enter to win new budgets. Nonprofits enter to win the opportunity to present their case to funding organizations. Regardless of the goal, an award entry is long lasting publicity for the entry. This is a solid reason for entering an award.

  • A completed answer for every scored section of the entry.
  • An evidence appendix listing the source behind each claim.
  • A quote request template for clients you want to cite.
  • The same story rewritten for a second category.
  • Two revision rounds ahead of the entry deadline.

What people commission award applications for

  • Entering an industry award for the first time.
  • Reworking an entry that was shortlisted but lost.
  • Submitting one project to several different awards.
  • Building a case for internal recognition budget.

What award applications cost

One rate, whatever the format: $10 per 100 words. You are paying for the writer’s time and judgement, so the price scales with the words rather than with a package tier.

No-AI Award Applications Pricing FAQs

Yes. Send two or three pieces you like the sound of, or your style guide. Matching an established voice is ordinary work for a writer and close to impossible for a model that has never read your back catalogue.

Yes. Tell us the volume and cadence and we keep the same writer on the account so the voice stays consistent. The rate does not change with volume.

Most of the time, the winner is not the contestant with the biggest following. The judges look for context: small budget, creative constraints, and Easter eggs. We look for the contextual frame of your work. We will let you know if you’ve somehow end up in the wrong category.

This is the spot for the written entry; we can also take care of summary, quote request, and caption drafts for client quote requests and supporting images. Video scripts are a separate order. Send us the whole entry pack and we will tell you the rest.

Got an interview off the third one

I applied to 11 jobs with my own application and received 0 feedback. I ordered 3 custom applications, and the third received a callback. The job ad mentioned a comfort level with ambiguity, and the writer focused the paragraph on a project of mine that was all about ambiguity.

Answered the question asked

Our applications typically answer a question that is broader than the one that is being asked. That was not the case on this application. All sections stayed within the word count and within the question. I am not claiming direct credit for this, but we got the grant. This was the best application we have submitted to date.

Cut twenty years into six lines

I have compressed twenty years of shift work in to this submission. The writer wanted to know what I’d been promoted for, not what my job title was, so my CV is more of a progressive account than a list.
