100% Human-Written Competitor Analysis

Analysis begins after the profile ends. The same features can be published by two different companies and, in those instances, one can still win over the other, for a completely different reason. That reason is the one you’re shelling out for when you decide against getting a report and paying for an analysis instead.

Be honest with yourself about your product. You will be expected to give the writer lost deals with reasons that do not include the buyer having poor communication.

Using No-AI Competitor Analysis for Better Decisions

A comparison table that nobody argues with is a comparison table that nobody uses. Analysis has to commit. This rival beats you on procurement rather than product. That rival wins nothing on merit, and is simply easier to buy. Once the reason has a name, a price change or a new sales script can answer it.

Where AI falls down on competitor analysis

Generating competitor analyses always flatters the requester. This analysis is from your side, and therefore your strengths come back decisive and your gaps are minor. Analysis that does not include the uncomfortable truth is not analysis. It is convening people that already agreed.

How Human Researchers Build No-AI Competitor Analysis

Two things influence your analysis: public information about your rivals and your own loss reasons. The latter is more important. Sales notes, churn calls, and stalled deals are showing what the analysis needs to focus on, and the public information then helps explain the pattern associated with that.

From Evidence to Final No-AI Competitor Analysis

Analysis occurs when a claim passes a test. In this case, the author makes an argument as to why you lose to a specific rival. The argument is tested against potential explanations. Unsuccessful explanations are discarded, along with arguments that most people internally believe. What is left is a brief statement that is often uncomfortable.

What competitor analysis cost

One rate, whatever the format: $10 per 100 words. You are paying for the writer’s time and judgement, so the price scales with the words rather than with a package tier.

No-AI Competitor Analysis FAQs

Primary sources wherever they exist — your own data, published research, filings, regulator and industry figures — with secondary reporting used only where nothing better is available. Everything used is listed with links so you can check it.

We write the analysis, label what each figure shows and describe the charts your designer should build, including the takeaway each one has to land. We do not produce finished graphics, so tell us if you need the underlying numbers laid out for a designer.

Including your last twenty won and lost deals with one line reasons, the buyers mentioning your rivals without prompting, and your current pricing shows how your deals get the best price. Feel free to explain loss reasons if they are recorded. A call between two salespeople works instead, and the report will reflect that as a difference.

This line is the most important one. It is worth the most. If a competitor has a segment through a cost structure that we cannot replicate, the smart thing to do is adjust our pricing or disregard this segment altogether rather than continuing to allocate resources against this competitor.

What clients say about our competitor analysis

Caveats section made it credible

The final half page explains what the analysis was unable to confirm through public sources. Most vendors tend to hide that, or simply eliminate it. Our partners actually read that section first which is why the report was presented to the client without any changes.

She said when the data was thin

Three of the competitors are private and their numbers are not public. The report states this explicitly and cites what can be observed, pricing pages, job postings and packaging changes. Because of that, I trust the other parts of the report more.

Good report, chart labels messed up

The narrative was strong, and the board approved of it without any changes or comments. Two chart captions had the wrong year, and while I can say I caught it, I shouldn’t have to. They fixed it within an hour of me pointing it out. The rest of the report was in good order.
