A screenplay needs to convey each minute in an entertaining way. It is written in present tense action, each sentence represents a minute, and the page should not instruct the director on how to perform their duties. The reader will decide in ten pages if the screenplay is worth their time.
In this case, you get a proper script instead of prose and a script costume. This can be in Final Draft or Fountain format, or even a PDF. It would be the preference of whoever you expect to open it, with the title page set up according to how they like it.
Script originality comes from nerve-rushing performance in the gaps or delays of audiences’ expectations. It takes the boldness to end a scene before an audience is ready to hear the point. It means giving the antagonist a point that is more compelling. Generated scripts feel like movies and scenes that have already been done. That’s because genre-training models are cut from the same cloth as films that have been produced. They learn to capture rhythm and pacing from those films, and produce beats that audience’s expect.
Scenes that enter late and leave early, as readers expect.
Dialogue readable without the character name attached.
Action lines written to be scanned rather than admired.
Where AI falls down on screenplays
Generative language models create scripts that make it easy to convert novels to screenplays. They write interior monologues, think of ways to explain things that players on screen cannot, and provide a backstory for each character. A talented screenwriter can use this program to set characters up for a role with a very specific dialogue, but it may be pretty difficult to identify whether a character is a person of interest or a teenager based on that dialogue.
Story, Tone and Human Writing for No-AI Screenplays
First, structure gets outlined in the form of a beat sheet. This happens before any writing to avoid having to redo sixty pages of the second act. Tone is set by the first three pages, which is why early drafts focus on these three pages in order to set the tone of the entire piece. Only then does the writer continue to draft full pages.
How a screenplay gets written here
Agree logline, format, length and the tone the first ten pages set.
Beat sheet approved before any script pages are drafted.
Draft in passes: structure first, then dialogue, then action trimming.
Format checked to industry standard and delivered in your file type.
Shaping No-AI Screenplays Around Your Brief
We work around hard constraints of time and budget as noted in the script brief. We don’t have the luxury to do crowds, we have three locations, a lead actor of a certain age, and we are limited to a certain number of pages in the festival. We want to know what you can’t move in the story and let the writer apply their skills to design their way around that constraint rather than giving you something impossible and presuming the difference is ambition.
Screenplay in Final Draft, Fountain or PDF as you prefer.
Title page, correct slug lines, industry-standard formatting.
A one-page logline and synopsis for submissions.
Character breakdown with speaking-part counts.
Full copyright assigned to you on delivery.
What people commission screenplays for
Feature specs for festivals and competitions.
Short films built around a fixed location budget.
Proof-of-concept scripts for a longer project.
Adapting your own novel or short story.
What screenplays cost
One rate, whatever the format: $10 per 100 words. You are paying for the writer’s time and judgement, so the price scales with the words rather than with a package tier.

No-AI Screenplays Writing FAQs
Every draft goes through an editor, then through several AI detectors and a plagiarism check. Anything that does not come back clean is revised or reassigned. You get the reports with the delivery email.
What the piece is for, who reads it, roughly how long it should be, and anything it must include or avoid. Links to your existing material help. If you are unsure, send what you have and the writer will come back with questions.
Final Draft, Fountain, PDF, or all three. Who is it for? Competitions usually want a PDF with a specific title page. Production teams want a file they can draft and lock pages so that they do not have to reformat everything.
They’re included. A logline is about summarizing the character, conflict, and irony in thirty words. After you have a draft, you pick which one you think sounds best to someone reading it for the first time.

Came in long, otherwise excellent
At a natural pace, the speech was about ninety seconds over the twelve minute mark. Editing it was simple because your structure was clear, but I shouldn’t have to. Our director called the content of your speech the best written thing that she has ever delivered.

Kept the ending i was scared of
I asked for some advice with a plot that I have been tweaking for years. The suggestion was to fix the mess in the middle and to just leave the ending the way it is. I guess they were right and I wouldn’t have arrived at that conclusion on my own.

The ending was not what I asked for
I described my vision of a happy ending. Now, I have their version in return which is quieter and more sad. They included an explanation, a reasoning behind their choice, and a way for me to have it my way by writing a different (happy ending) version if I prefer. I kept their original.
