A good number of slides already have the content noted. People are good at transcribing slides into notes. This is not helpful to the person presenting the slide. What is helpful is the opposite. It’s filling in the blanks to help them remember the main point. It is filling in the blanks for the figure that they will be asked to present and help them remember the salient points so that they avoid having to answer questions for which they do not have the answer. Writing this means envisioning the audience. This also means they will have to explain their rationale to an audience that may not be familiar with their topic.
If you fill the notes field with a polished paragraph for every slide, that is the wrong model. During the presentation, the presenter will end up reading it word for word, delivery will be monotone, and eye contact will be lost for that section of slides the presenter was most interested to present.
